1 ¼ cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla
¾ cup of all purpose flour
¾ cup whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ½ t baking powder
2 tablespoons melted butter
Combine the dry ingredients (the day before, to save time!). Combine the wet
ingredients. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just blended.
Fry the batter in about ¼ to 1/3 cup dollops on a hot, greased skillet or frying pan,
flipping the cakes once bubbles start to form on the surface. Serve the pancakes
immediately with warm syrup. Toddler optional, though delightful.
