Franz Gojer Glogglof Lagrein 2009
Profile: Franz Gojer is located in Alto Adige, the Northernmost part of Italy. The “Glögglhof” is a family vineyard right in the centre. Lagrein, the grape, was fermented in stainless steel tanks. The farm dates back to the 14th Century, and the Gojer family has spent the last of 100 years and 3 generation farming grapes.
Color: Intense dark purple, almost tar like
Nose: salty cured meats, blackberry, wild herbs, spices
Palate: juicy dark fruit, caramelized bacon, stewed tomato, blue fruit, ripe berries, earthy and structured, chewy. Elegant, drinkable and powerful.
